New Kindles arrive
Amazon just announced the latest generation of Kindle – in WIFI and 3G versions:
Although many people discount the 3G saying they don’t need to be able to download books when out the house, the 3G is astoundingly useful because it syncs your position with Amazon. That means if you pick up an iPhone or iPad and use the Kindle app (which I often do), it will pick up from where you left off on your Kindle. I wouldn’t recommend skimping on 3G.
Interestingly, the new Kindle has a WebKit based browser. Here are all the new features (3G version.)
Kindle is our #1 bestselling item for two years running. It’s also the most-wished-for, most-gifted, and has the most 5-star reviews of any product on Amazon. Now it’s even better.
