Bokeh and colour from the Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 VR
Ok, so these images are at F4 rather than F2.8 (because I wanted less shallow DOF), and they are at ISO6400 (because I was shooting in a bar), AND I seem to have a bright pixel at ISO6400 – but I still like these images, and I think they show off both the Nikon D90 and Tamron lens very well. The colours have come out beautifully and the background is cleanly blurred (not hexagons or hard shapes.)
No postprocessing has been carried out on these files (I should probably rotate the first one just a tad).

Brooklyn Lager in Tokyo

And a MONSTER burger to match!
Originals available in my Zenfolio portfolio here. If you’re examining for sharpness, remember that these are ISO6400 and so sharpness is limited by the D90 at this ISO.
