Canon v Nikon

A few days after Nikon announced the D3S, Canon has announced the EOS-1D Mark IV. On paper it seems to better Nikon – but Canon’s high ISO has never matched Nikon’s in terms of quality. Will this be the camera that changes that.

I look forward to seeing some real life samples from the Nikon D3S and Canon EOS-1D Mark IV showing the high ISO quality. Not that I can afford either, of course.

The quality of Nikon ISO is derived from build quality; noise on a high ISO image is the result of electronic interference from the camera as a result of poorer metals and electronics.

The new D3s has the best ISO performance i have ever seen to date; it’s simply staggering. Take a look! The build quality of the D3s must be absolutely SOUND. Pure quality.

I do believe that the Canon EOS-1D Mark IV will be Canon’s best built camera ever. The reason i believe this is the video shot by Vincent Laforet with the is simply flawless quality, an area which Canon has far outdone Nikon.

Personally, I hope the competition remains tight for years to come, each company to have its own quirks and catches.
